The BOXRAW Hagler Sauna Suit 2.0 promises to increase body temperature in order to promote weight loss, aid muscular hypertrophy and reduce the risk of injury. It aims to do all of this while still giving a maximum range of motion (for training purposes) as well as being designed to look like it belongs on a catwalk.
Does it deliver on its goals?
Let’s find out in our BOXRAW Sauna Suit review.
An Introduction To The BOXRAW Sauna Suit
As BOXRAW are one of our trusted suppliers, we already had pretty high expectations of their Sauna Suit 2.0. Having been designed with some of Boxing’s elite athletes in mind, the sauna suit is pitched as the ideal weight cutting aid and is designed to be worn while you train.
Available in 7 different sizes, ranging from extra small up to XXXL, and with 4 colour options, there should be a size and colour to suit your style and shape.
Sauna suits are not a new concept but high quality, affordable sauna suits are not easy to come by. It seems that BOXRAW have looked to fill this gap in the market as they have aimed to create a training tool that will aid with weight loss whilst helping to build or retain muscle. It does this by raising your internal temperature which helps to raise the temperature of the blood flowing through the muscles. This also can help to prevent injury.
Let’s take a look at how we got on with the BOXRAW Sauna Suit 2.0.

BOXRAW Sauna Suit 2.0 Specs & Features
Each Hagler Sauna Suit 2.0 is made from 100% polyester and despite looking and feeling much like a normal sauna suit, it has a really premium feel to it. The material is fairly lightweight and the detailing is on point with the front facing logos being stitched to give it a bold textured look.
The suit comes in two parts – the top and bottoms. The top features a tightly elasticated neck line that keeps heat in but is not uncomfortable on the neck. The top also has an elasticated waist and cuffs. The cuffs are particularly well made as they also feature an adjustable rubber strap that fastens with velcro.
The bottoms feature the same elasticated cuffs around the ankles and an elasticated, draw string waist.
The sizing of the sauna suit is designed to be oversized (more on this shortly) and the lightweight nature of it is designed to not feel cumbersome or restrictive whilst training.
There are two zipped pockets on the top which open in to a kangaroo pouch, and two individual pockets on the bottoms. The zips are extremely well made, smooth to fasten and unfasten and have rubber and string pulls attached to the metal zipper. They really are a thing of beauty and are incredibly practical. The pockets are deep too so you can store a number of items in them if needed.
The detailing on the Hagler sauna suit is completed with reflective BOXRAW logo strips along the arms and legs. The design of this is subtle and understated but gives the suit a distinctive finish.
The inside of the suit has a rubberised finish which helps to raise the temperature inside the suit and also offers a comfortable feel.

Using The Sauna Suit 2.0
Our tester measures up at 183cm in height and weighs 80.5kg. The large suit seemed to offer an ideal fit but if you are unsure, BOXRAW do have a very in depth sizing guide that we found to be pretty accurate.
As soon as you take delivery of the Hagler Sauna Suit you will notice the quality. It is on another level to any of the other sauna suits we have tested. Of course, you do pay a premium for this as BOXRAW products are not cheap, but like most things, you get what you pay for and you get an awful lot of quality for your money with the Sauna Suit 2.0.
The sizing in our testers opinion was perfect. The suit is designed to be oversized which of course allows for a greater freedom of movement when training. The possible downside to this might have been less thermal efficiency when generating heat but this was not evident at all. In fact, the heat generation was at least on a par with other sauna suits we have used, if not better.
It is very clear that the Hagler has been very well thought through. The neck collar allows no body heat to escape yet doesn’t irritate the neck. The elasticated waist does the same job but does not cut in or cause any discomfort.
The wrist straps have a double function in that they are designed to both retain heat but also offer support to the wrists – something they do well. The rubber injected straps feel incredibly robust and will offer good all-round support.
The same quality can be found in the trousers and the drawstring elasticated waist means that you can adjust the tightness to your preference. The zips work well and look like they are made from high quality materials and there is plenty of space in the pockets for storage.
Cheaper brands often make a lot of noise whilst undertaking physical activity but the BOXRAW Sauna Suit is pretty quiet in use, with rustling kept to a minimum. This might seem like a non-important feature but in reality it makes a huge difference – and your training partners will be appreciative too.

BOXRAW Sauna Suit Alternatives
We usually like to offer an alternative to any product we review and it’s fair to say that there are plenty of alternative options to the BOXRAW Hagler Sauna Suit 2.0.
But… it is also very important to state that we genuinely don’t believe their is a better sauna suit on the market right now. Yes, you might pay an extra £20 or so for the Hagler, but if you buy a cheaper suit you are likely going to find a need to replace it after a few months and end up paying more.
The Hagler on the other hand, ticks literally every box for us.
If you really want to find something cheaper then RDX have sauna suits for around £15 less but even they will not offer the same quality as these BOXRAW sauna suits.
Verdict
It’s pretty rare that we are quite so bullish about a fitness product or fitness apparel. But in this instance we can’t do anything than to highly recommend the BOXRAW Hagler Sauna Suit 2.0. It is made from extremely high quality materials, performs its job incredibly well, is comfortable to wear, looks great and is practical.
There isn’t much more you can ask for. Perhaps the only thing we would like to see is a couple of variations in the styling, but we do love the understated simplicity of these suits and above all we love how well they work.
Bravo BOXRAW, bravo.
